Your first visit is designed to give us a more complete picture of your oral health, not simply address what is visible today.
Oral health is connected to whole-body health; your first visit looks beyond your teeth and gums. We consider factors such as medications, nutrition, saliva, sleep and airway, lifestyle, health history, and the oral microbiome when they are relevant to your care.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST VISIT
Your first appointment is a comprehensive preventive visit, not a quick check-in.
We begin with a conversation about your health, concerns, and goals, including factors that may be influencing your oral health. Your visit includes digital radiographs based on your individual needs, an evaluation of your teeth and periodontal health, blood pressure monitoring, oral cancer screening, and airway and sleep health screening. Additional preventive assessments may be incorporated based on your health history and clinical findings. Before you leave, we explain what we observed, what we recommend, and why.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
We work hard to make care financially accessible and transparent from the start.
➥ In-network plans—coming soon: We are completing credentialing with select dental benefit plans. Confirmed plans will be listed as participation becomes effective.
➥ Medicare Advantage dental plans—coming soon: Participating plans will be listed once credentialing is complete.
➥ Medicaid/Health First Colorado: Not accepted
➥ Out-of-network PPO plans: We accept assignment of benefits when permitted by your plan and submit claims on your behalf. You pay your estimated portion at the time of service.
➥ Cherry Payment Plans: Interest-free and other flexible payment options are available for eligible services and approved applicants.
➥ Credit cards: Major credit cards are accepted.
➥ Complimentary benefits check: Available to all new patients before their first appointment.

A PREVENTIVE PARTNER ALONGSIDE YOUR DENTIST
DEN Smiles is an independent dental hygiene practice specializing in preventive oral healthcare. Our services complement the care you receive from your dentist and other healthcare professionals.
If you already have a dentist, we are happy to collaborate with their office. With your permission, we can share relevant radiographs, photographs, and preventive findings to support continuity of care.
If we observe something that requires dental diagnosis or treatment outside our services, we will explain what we see and recommend follow-up with a dentist or specialist whose expertise aligns with your needs. If you do not currently have a dentist, we can help connect you with a trusted provider.
